    OVERVIEW:

The Big Woods Bucks Special Edition Redcliff  was designed in collaboration with the team at Big Woods Bucks to meet the demands of serious hunters and backcountry adventurers. Tested for 3 years by the Big Woods Team in the Adirondack Mountains, and built specifically for hunting, tracking, and camping in the rugged terrain of New England or anywhere with high moisture and cold environments exist. Of course it works equally well in the more mild spring and summer as well! This shelter is optimized for durability, efficiency, light weight, and comfort in all remote environments.

Key exclusive features include a reinforced center loop that allows you to hang the shelter from a tree branch—eliminating the need for a center pole and maximizing usable interior space. High-visibility neon orange corner stake points ensure fast, easy setup in low-light conditions, while multiple interior loops and integrated drying rods make it simple to dry wet gear over a stove.

Whether you're setting up a quick base camp or creating a spacious backcountry shelter, the BWB Redcliff delivers reliable performance, versatility, and comfort in the field. If you would like the full bundle, click here

    PITCHING:

    1. Choose where you want to sleep and where you want the door to be.
    2. Stake the corner line loc cordages in a rectangle shape, ensuring that the angles are as square and true as possible. Avoid overstretching the fabric to prevent a bell-shaped bottom that reduces interior space. Note: You will have to make a knot on the line loc cordage to stake the tent out
    3. Make sure the vent and stovejack are open or closed as desired before raising the pole, as they may be harder to reach once the pole is up.
    4. Insert the pole and raise the shelter.
    5. Stake out the doors.
    6. Connect and tension the guylines to stabilize and increase interior space

SEAM SEALING:  ( Factory Sealing Included In BWB Bundle)

    1. To seal the shelter, pitch it normally and seal the outside seams.
    2. You can run a thin bead of sealant along the seam, press it in with a finger, and wipe away excess on a paper towel.
    3. Alternatively, you can use an acid brush from a hardware store to spread the sealant.

    INFO ON HOT TENTS:

    Temperature Rating
    • We use high temp silicone coated fiberglass material, rated to several thousand degrees, for the stove jack. The tent material never touches the hot pipe. If there are any pinholes from floating embers, they can be sealed with a small dab of silicone without damaging the shelter.
    Condensation Carbon Monoxide
    • Carbon monoxide is not a concern in these shelters due to the peak vent and air flow from the zipper and sod skirt. If necessary, leave a door unzipped for more venting
